Seasonal Reflections: A photographic collection of nature seen through the eyes of HSPs all over the world from The Sensitive Empowerment Community
I am so thrilled to share our first community "Be the Change" project! It is a Nature Book of photos from around the world, as seen through the eyes of HSPs! It's extra special that it is created by HSPs in my Sensitive Empowerment community and that all proceeds will be donated to the World Wildlife Fund!
Here's what they had to say...
"We are a group of members of the Sensitive Empowerment Community, an online community for Highly Sensitive People (HSP), focused on fostering connections among HSPs from all over the world that are dedicated to growth and empowerment and understanding of the trait of high sensitivity. This online community was founded by Julie Bjelland, a sensitivity expert, and licensed psychotherapist.
As community members have shared photos in our community of nature from around the world, a group of us decided to embark upon a project of a compilation of our photos into an e-photobook, with the proceeds from any book sales going to the World Wildlife Fund.
The mission of the World Wildlife Fund is to conserve nature and reduce the most pressing threats to the diversity of life on Earth and a vision to build a future in which people live in harmony with nature is very much aligned with our vision for this book, which is to share the beauty of nature through our eyes and enhance our appreciation and connection with the natural world.
Our e-book is now available and the beautiful nature images are yours to enjoy for years to come with a donation of any amount. It will be emailed to you as a PDF.
Thank you very much for your consideration of our request and for the important work you are doing to protect wildlife around the world. Your support will conserve nature and reduce the most pressing threats to the diversity of life on Earth."
Here's the forward I wrote for the book...
Observing nature through the eyes of HSPs all over the world is incredibly beautiful.
I was delighted when a group of highly sensitive people (HSPs) from my Sensitive Empowerment Community gathered together to create this beautiful book of nature and donate the proceeds to charity. I always knew that wonderful things would happen when you get a group of loving, empowered, sensitive people together. We are the guardians of the world and each other.
As HSPs, nature is where we feel our best, and we have a special connection to it. We see and feel all the details more deeply, and that’s reflected in these beautiful images. We notice the little things others might miss, like the different shades of color in the landscape, the variety of textures and sizes of leaves, and the small bee on a flower. We can feel a sunset or sunrise so profoundly that it moves us to tears. We are so proud to share what we see.
Having the trait of sensitivity is a superpower and allows us to experience the beauty of nature in profound ways. We are one with ourselves and with nature when alone in its bliss. We invite you to spend quiet time in nature every day and feel its profound effect on your wellness. For now, enjoy these beautiful images from all over the globe, and you will also see that the world is more beautiful with HSPs in it.
