Artist of the Month
Guest Post by Andrea Weber
Every month, we’ll be featuring an artist from the Sensitive Empowerment Community (SEC). We have so many talented and creative members and it is a privilege to showcase their work.
Our artist for the month of December is Linda Rutquist who has been sharing her beautiful photography of the West Coast, Vancouver, Canada for a long time now in the SEC. Linda is also a member of our Business Group and offers these breathtaking images as greeting cards which can be purchased through her online store at Linda’s Nature Studio.
Linda is a lover of nature who draws inspiration from the intricacies of log-laden beaches, free flowing streams and moss-coated forest floors. Misty mornings with fog covered fields and images of the changing seasons are among her favourite captures on camera. Linda has been told she has a good eye for pictures and is passionate about sharing her beautiful discoveries.
My personal favourites are ‘Grazing Horses’, ‘Shore Birds’, ‘Cloud Reflections’ and ‘Frosty Morning’. I’m eagerly anticipating the joy of opening a parcel from the other side of the world with these delightful cards. I’ll be gifting some of them but intend to make a display of the photography to inspire my own creativity.
We have special permission to share a couple with you here.

Artistic pursuits can be highly beneficial for sensitive people, calming and supporting the nervous system and providing an outlet for creative expression. Mental acuity is also enhanced as we bring forth imagination, generate ideas and problem solve. It helps create a mindfulness of being focused in the present.
Creating art collectively also fosters connection, and we are now hosting Community Co-Creates where we all get together and work on our chosen activities while happily chatting away and giving each other encouragement. Enjoying this kind of positive engagement with like-minded people leaves members feeling inspired, motivated and uplifted.
Enjoy these beautiful creations at Linda’s Nature Studio and learn more about our Sensitive Empowerment Community.
