Release Overwhelm with Restorative Yoga for Highly Sensitive People
Guest Post with Christie Rosen
As highly sensitive people, we have a heightened sensitivity to our world, both internally and externally. While this gift can allow us to experience life’s beauty on a profound level, it can also make us much more prone to feeling overwhelmed. For HSPs, coping with overwhelm is often a part of daily or weekly life. We need tools and strategies so we can thrive in our chaotic world.
Join Christie in a 45-minute Restorative Yoga practice designed to help you release overwhelm with extremely comfortable, long-held postures supported by props. Restorative yoga is different from other forms of yoga as the focus is on rest and rejuvenation rather than stretching or strengthening. There are no active poses in this deeply nourishing style of yoga.
Please have access to two pillows (I like to use ones from my bed), a blanket, a chair, and anything else that would help you feel most comfortable, such as an eye pillow, sweater, socks, or even a weighted blanket.

I also highly recommended the HSP Toolbox Course – Holistic Tools to Calm a Sensitive Nervous System. It can help you go from just surviving to thriving as an HSP. Learn more with the Free Master Class – Tools to Help the Sensitive Thrive in a Chaotic World.

Some men have expressed frustration about my focus on women’s autism experiences, but this emphasis addresses a longstanding research gap that makes women-centered support essential.
