The Overloaded Sensitive Nervous System EQUALS Stress, Anxiety, Insomnia, and Health Issues

There are so many health issues in the highly sensitive population as a result of an overloaded sensitive nervous system.

You cannot do what the 80% of the population without this trait are doing. It doesn’t work for the sensitive system.

Learn how to deactivate stress centers in the brain. There are many natural alternatives that balance our sensitive system.

Stress, anxiety, and insomnia are often worse in the HSP population, but and you can do something about it.

Our Sensitive Empowerment community is a place to understand how to get better. There is a lot we can do about it and we have control over our health and our well-being, and it’s rare to have this opportunity to learn from an HSP Doctor! You can learn how to live in a state of balance as a highly sensitive person.

HSP Naturopathic Dr. Julia Hipp answers the following questions from members of our Sensitive Empowerment Community!

  1. What helps with stress and anxiety?

  2. I’ve already hit the “burn out” stage and have spent months trying to recover while attempting to remain productive at work. So far the only thing that seems to help is complete calm and quiet and not being around pretty much anyone, but that isn’t a realistic option, so whatever I can do to help my body cope while I try to recover my sensitive energy would be great (if it is at all possible...)

  3. Are HSPs more susceptible to inflammation, hormone & autoimmune conditions?

  4. What is the ROOT cause for most HSPs symptoms? I am guessing that my root cause is an OVERLOADED nervous system and health issues have arose due to the overload. I struggle with food sensitivities, digestive issues, skin issues like hives, lower back pain, respiratory issues, hormone issues and insomnia.

  5. How we can best support the nervous system during times of increased stress? (obviously 'sleep,' exercising and eating well, but even that doesn't seem enough) and helping the body recover coming out of a stressful period.

  6. What is the correlation with HSPs and more severe PMS/PMDD and what are ways to manage this time of month better, naturally.

  7. Do you know much about perioral dermatitis?

  8. What if anything can be taken for recurring bladder infections? I have so many issues/side effects from meds.

  9. Have you ever run across an HSP having awakenings of electrical nerves going all over the back of the body and head EVERY time the person woke?

  10. I would like to know if you are familiar with internal tremors/vibrations/buzzing and muscle twitching (my neurologist said it was not a neurological disease) and whether this could be related to my high sensitivity and/or hormonal imbalances like in menopause.

  11. At night when I first lay down in bed to go to sleep I can feel twitches moving in my legs. I would like to know if this is just processes that only sensitive people feel and/or notice? I also as of recently, have a lot of ringing in my ears. Sometimes so noticeable I am alarmed and feel uneasy about what may be going on....

  12. I was diagnosed with Raynaud’s Syndrome when I was about 13 or so. I would love to know if there is any new knowledge about how I can support myself better because I’m pretty sure there isn’t a cure.

  13.  I want to know if the trifecta of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Mast Cell Activation, and POTS are connected to HSP... I have SO many bodily sensitivities, and have been diagnosed with all three in the last year.

  14. What are the best recommendations for chronic pain in the spine? I have it in several locations, as well as shoulders. The pain seems to move around, is affected by diet, stress, exertion, I work diligently at managing it but I am always looking for new info on the topic.

  15. I am into health stuff and there's all kinds of advice out there about what to eat, how to exercise, etc. I am wondering if there are any health practices that are or are not particularly suited for HSPs as compared to non-HSPs.

  16. What do you suggest for the HSP that has Cortisol Arousal Response, (C.A.R.)?

  17. And More!
