Episode 175: The Benefits of Being In Tune With Our Bodies with Dr Julia Hipp and Andrea Weber
Listen Here
Join host Andrea Weber with special guest Dr. Julia Hipp as they discuss the benefits of being in tune with our bodies and how this can be helpful to our health and well-being.
Highly sensitive people have the gift of being able to do this more so than others when we are taking care of ourselves, when we are listening, and when we are honoring our needs. We are less able to tune in to what our bodies are telling us when we are stressed and overwhelmed.
Being in tune with our physical bodies can help us in the following ways:
urge us to seek the help that we may be needing
talk to our doctor with questions and concerns
take the time to rest and nurture when needed
make choices that are suitable for our needs
approach challenges with a renewed perspective
Andrea shares her experience with hypnobirthing and how this practice helped tremendously with the birth of her child, and Dr. Julia shares her many years of experience helping people become more aware and cognizant of what is happening with their bodies.
To help you connect with your body and tune in to the messages it wants to send you, Dr. Julia is offering you a link to a short guided focusing meditation, which can be accessed at achilleamedicine.com/meditation.
